Sea Kayaking in Dominical Costa Rica
Endless Olas is the premiere Costa Rica surf camp in the country, offering beginners and experts alike a chance to learn how to surf or improve their techniques. The Pacific Coast of the country is one of the most beautiful spots on the planet to enjoy surfing where turquoise waves meet golden beaches on the edge of a brilliantly green jungle. And while Costa Rica surfing is certainly a top attraction, there are plenty of other Costa Rica activities that visitors can enjoy in between riding beautiful waves into shore.
Another way to enjoy the water and the great outdoors in Costa Rica is with a kayak tour. One such tour will start at the Rio (River) Hatillo, kayakers can make their way through pristine mangrove forests while admiring an abundance of wildlife that inhabit the area, including sloths, giant lizards, pelicans, dolphins, herons, and even Capuchin monkeys.
Kayaking is a fun and healthy sport for children and adults of all ages. It is essential that everyone who wants to enjoy kayaking in Costa Rica know how to swim and be in generally good health. Children under the age of 10 can enjoy kayaking as long as they are in a two-person kayak, accompanied by an adult. All participants are recommended to bring sunscreen, a hat, comfortable footwear, and insect repellant.
All kayaking tours are led by an English-speaking local guide who has extensive training and knowledge of the area. All participants will be given a brief safety course and introduction before the tour begins. Kayaking can be enjoyed during both the dry and green seasons, but tours may be canceled during inclement weather. Life jackets will be provided and must be worn at all times when kayaking in Costa Rica.
